We're bringing intelligence to the world's oldest industry

Building the next-gen intelligent concrete grinding robots.

CreteBot intelligent concrete grinding robot

We're building the tools that will reshape construction for the next century.

The construction industry is one of the least digitized sectors in the global economy. While other industries have been transformed by automation, construction has remained stubbornly manual — relying on the same processes used for decades.

We started CreteBot because we saw an enormous opportunity to change this. Concrete grinding is one of the most physically demanding and repetitive tasks on any job site. It's also one of the most critical — a poor finish can compromise the entire project.

Our AI-driven robots don't just replicate human work — they exceed it. With millimeter-level precision, 360° awareness, and the ability to operate around the clock, CreteBot is setting a new standard for what's possible on the construction site.

What drives us

Our values aren't aspirational. They're operational — baked into every line of code and every mechanical joint.

Labor Shortages

The industry faces a severe skilled labor shortage, with costly training cycles, high turnover, and an increasingly unreliable workforce.

Quality Control

Inconsistent project quality is driven by varying crew experience and unpredictable site conditions, leading to costly rework.

Schedule & Productivity

Productivity is hindered by slow pace, scheduling conflicts, and human fatigue — causing delays and driving up project costs.

Safety & Health Concerns

High accident rates and chronic health risks from dust, noise, and vibration put workers in danger every day on the job site.

Built by people who care

We're a focused team of roboticists, AI researchers, and construction industry veterans distributed across North America.

We're hiring

Tony Guan, Ph.D., P.E.

Co-founder, CEO

Tony is a serial entrepreneur with deep roots in the concrete flooring industry. He built a contracting firm from the ground up into a nationally recognized business with over 15 years of operations that continues to set the standard for epoxy flooring and concrete polishing throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States. He has founded and led several other ventures, establishing a proven track record of scaling companies across diverse markets.

His leadership experience spans operations management, strategic marketing, business development, finance, and government contracting. This breadth gives him a rare ability to bridge the gap between field execution and enterprise-level strategy—ensuring CreteBot is built not just as a technology product, but as a viable, market-ready business.

Tony holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer. He co-founded CreteBot to solve the labor, quality, and safety challenges he witnessed firsthand across hundreds of commercial and industrial projects.

Yu Bai, Ph.D.

Co-founder, CTO

Dr. Yu Bai is an expert in emerging AI systems and their interdisciplinary applications to real-world automation and intelligent platforms. His work integrates AI robotics, neuromorphic computing, edge and IoT deep learning, big data processing, and embodied intelligence to enable efficient, deployable solutions beyond the laboratory.

Dr. Bai has made notable contributions to AI-driven robotics, neural network optimization, and AI–hardware co-design, with a strong focus on running advanced models on resource-constrained edge devices. He has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications in leading international conferences and journals. His achievements have been recognized with the 2023 Citation Award Best Researcher Award and the 2021 Faculty Scholarly and Creative Activity Award, and he has been listed in Who’s Who in America.

In addition to his academic leadership, Dr. Bai serves as a technical advisor to multiple U.S.-based multinational companies, helping translate cutting-edge AI research into scalable industrial technologies. He has secured over $4 million in competitive research funding supporting edge AI architectures, intelligent sensing systems, and AI applications in biological and cyber-physical systems. Through his affiliation with initiatives connected to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM), Dr. Bai is committed to advancing practical AI innovation while cultivating a diverse, future-ready STEM workforce.
